OHIO HERITAGE LAW | PARALEGAL POSITION
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Current hours are 9 am-5pm Mondays and Tuesdays, 9am-6pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 9am-3pm on Fridays.

• Manage probate court deadlines and filings across several Ohio counties
• Draft and record deeds with electronic recording software, under attorney supervision and review
• Conduct client meetings for intake, status updates, and routine probate matters within a defined processes
• Perform signing ceremonies for estate planning documents with accuracy and care
• Communicate with clients, exhibiting warmth, patience, and professionalism
• Maintain complete and current client files in our practice management system
• Support and help refine firm systems and workflows to improve firm efficiency and the client experience
• Identify issues that fall outside the established process and escalate them to the attorney promptly and with clear context
Qualifications:
• Prior probate administration and estate planning experience is a must. This role is not a fit for someone without relevant prior experience
• Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and able to self-monitor and self-correct work before submitting for attorney review
• Tech savviness including law firm management and document drafting software (Lawmatics and Wealth Counsel preferred); Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Sound judgment about when to proceed independently and when to escalate matters to the attorney
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A kind, professional presence, especially with sensitive topics like death and grief
• Reliable and accountable. You meet deadlines, follow through, and own your work
Preferred Qualifications:
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent
• Ohio Notary Certification (or the ability to quickly obtain certification)
• Ohio Remote Online Notary Certification
• Direct experience drafting estate planning documents and managing probate matters
Position Details:
• On-site in Wadsworth, Ohio (remote work is not available for this position)
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Compensation based on skills and experience (range $25-$32/hour)
